Manas is located at the foothills of the Bhutan Himalayas in the Baksa and Chirang districts of the Bodoland Territorial Areas District (BTAD) of Assam. The core area 2837sq.km manas tiger reserve constitute Manas National park. Tiger reserve extends from Sonkoch to Dhansiri. In the northern side, the forests are contiguous with those in the Royal Manas and the Black Mountain National Park in Bhutan. River Beki is flowing through the park towards west.
